Your unconscious may still be holding on to that childhood memory and fearing a repetition if you became thin. There can be so many reasons for your unconscious to hold on to your current weight.
You have to be aware of how you feel when you think of your ideal weight. Just visualize being your ideal weight and see what feelings comes up. Now do not feel guilty of having negative feelings and just try to feel these feelings fully without judging yourself for having these negative feelings.
